Analysis: Danish Ship Credit sold abroad - but the Danish presence has long since faded

Under new British ownership, Danish Ship Finance will be "business as usual" for the large Danish shipping companies and for the many smaller shipowners who will in vain seek ship financing from the shipping bank

DFDS' sale of the Oslo boats to the Swedish Gotlandsbolaget last Monday was not the only sale of one of the 'crown jewels' in Danish shipping.

On the same day, Danish Ship Finance A/S announced that the main shareholders PKA, PFA, and Axcel, after a two-year sales process, have sold 90 percent of the ship finance to the British investment firm, Magellan Capital Holdings Ltd.
