A costly makeover: Here is the price tag of the Oslo ferries' facelift

The moment of reckoning has come for the Swedish owner who has poured millions into upgrading the two former DFDS ferries

275 million kroner.

That’s how much the renovation of the two Oslo ferries Nordic Crown and Nordic Pearl has cost the Swedish owner, Gotlandsbolaget.

This is confirmed by the company’s route director for Oslo–Copenhagen, Kim Heiberg, in a brief statement to Søfart.

- It’s the most precise figure we can give, he says.
