The signal outage affected, among others, two of Molslinjen's high-speed ferries, each heading in opposite directions across the Kattegat.

Jesper Maack, Molslinjen's press spokesperson, informed Søfart that the GPS outage lasted approximately 10 minutes. During this period, vessels in the area were unable to locate themselves or others on the GPS system and had to resort to traditional navigation methods. This was reported by TV2 Øst on Friday.
