Technical Superintendent - ASM Maritime BV

On behalf of ASM Maritime, MARPRO Group is looking for a Technical Superintendent for the office in Amsterdam. You will report to the Technical Director of the company.

The job

As a Technical Superintendent at ASM Maritime, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. You will work closely with the onboard crew and shore-based departments to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and docking activities. Your role will also include conducting vessel inspections, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of necessary technical resources. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to the crew, participate in incident investigations, and implement corrective measures as required.

Professional qualifications

• Education in Marine Engineering, Dual Purpose, or a related field
• Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent or a similar role within the maritime industry
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance, and repairs
• A background as Chief Engineer on board of Crude Oil and/or Chemical Tankers
• Good general IT knowledge
• Possession of a category B driving license
• Willingness to travel on short notice
• Ability to work from the office in Amsterdam
• Fluent in English
