On behalf of Den Haan Rotterdam (DHR), MARPRO Group is looking for a Sales Manager for the office in Rotterdam. You will be a member of the Management Team (MT) and report to the Managing Director.
The job
As Sales Manager at DHR, you are responsible for achieving revenue and margin targets. You are the driving force behind a proactive market approach and ensure that our sales team operates successfully. You will spend approximately 30-60% of your time travelling within Europe, acting as the face of our company and building sustainable customer relationships.
You will also play a key role in our ambition to position DHR as an integral part of the European shipbuilding supply chain. Innovation and digitalization are central to this ambition, adding value to our customers in a sustainable, future-proof way.
You interact with the R&D, Supply Chain and Assembly departments in order to optimize customer satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities
- Lead the Sales department: you will manage the commercial team (sales engineer and inside sales), conduct annual reviews, and monitor core competencies.
- Acquisition & relationship management: you identify market opportunities, maintain existing relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strategic sales planning: you will create forecasts and translate these into concrete action plans.
- Framework agreements: you make strategic long-term agreements and ensure an efficient phasing of deliveries.
- Industry involvement: you play an active role in industry associations and closely follow market developments.
- Innovation & digitalization: you contribute to strengthening our role within the shipbuilding supply chain through modern, digital, and future-oriented commercial strategies.
- Marketing: you contribute to the correct external image, monitor the company’s reputation, and organize customer-focused training days.
- Quality: you ensure the follow-up of customer complaints and provide clear communication to the customer.
Professional qualifications
- Experience in international sales and in managing a sales team
- Bachelor level education (HBO)
- Experience within the maritime sector
- Experience with ERP, preferably Business Central
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel approximately 30-60% of your time in Europe
