Mechanical Developing Engineer in Application Design Department

You will play an important role in:
- Developing, designing auxiliary equipment for the new fuel type engines; i.e. LNG, LPG, Methanol and Ammonia.
- Working with various technologies and processes for the marine industry, being precise mechanical equipment, high pressure hydraulic system, cryogenic equipment, liquid gas and gaseous gas, skid design, etc.
A typical day would consist of design and development work, interaction with suppliers, production sites, project managers and follow up on service experiences from all over the world. You will be joining a sub - team of 7 persons within the department, managing auxiliary units, but with support from a wide specter of the organization and competences.
Limited travel (below 15 days per year) in connection to tests and service follow up is expected in this position.
We imagine that you:
- Have a Bachelors / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Strong expertise in the mechanical design and development of components, with hands on experience in systems for ultra-low temperature involving liquefied gases.
- Designing experience with hydraulic systems preferred.
- FEM calculation including design optimization.
- Knowledge of selected industry standards and regulations preferred (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Experience in Test description and performance of components preferred.
- Documentation, including HAZOP, design review, etc.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

In our department, we are 13 passionate engineers with a broad variety of backgrounds who love what we do. We design a variety of components/units with a strong focus on safety and environmental footprint. In cooperation with other departments, customers and cooperation partners, we take concepts and ideas and engineer them into commercial design.
We make application design for Engine supply system and Maintenance Tools for the engines.
