On behalf of Cargo Care Solutions, MARPRO Group is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for the office in Barendrecht. This is a new position within the company, and we are looking for a medior candidate who will play a crucial role across two key business units: the Lashing Division and the Pump Division. You will report to the Directors of both divisions.

The Job
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in the technical administration of ongoing processes within Cargo Care Solutions. You will work closely with colleagues and suppliers, being involved in the product process from its initial concept through to its realization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing 3D drawings of parts, as well as construction drawings.
• Defining the part properties for suppliers and liaising with suppliers for technical details.
• Reviewing and assessing the quality of parts once they are received in the workshop.
• Following the product from idea to realization, ensuring a seamless transition through the development cycle.

Your role will specifically support the Lashing Division and the Pump Division. While expertise in pumps or lashing equipment is not a prerequisite as internal expertise is readily available, your mechanical engineering skills will contribute to:

Pump Division: Supporting the inspection, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of deepwell pumps, which are crucial for chemical, gas, and product carriers worldwide. This could involve working with components such as impellers, mechanical seals, and shafts.

Lashing Division: Supporting the design, production, testing, and delivery of lashing components, which include items like twistlocks, lashing rods & turnbuckles, stacking cones, deck sockets, and lashing eyes. You will contribute to optimizing cargo capacity, enhancing safety, and ensuring compliance for newbuild lashing systems, as well as supporting retrofit solutions and various testing services.

Cargo Care Solutions has a highly experienced team of technical specialists in both the field of Pumps and Lashing. Therefore specific product experience is not required.

Professional qualifications:

• You possess an HBO or MBO education level with relevant working experience in a mechanical engineering direction.
• Proficiency in software such as Autodesk Inventor is required.
• You have experience in the process of construction/fabrication of parts.
• Demonstratable field engineering support experience
• You are fluent in Dutch, and have a good command of English, both verbally and in writing.
