As some of our vessels are below 3000 GT we are looking for different profiles for our vessels.

We expect:

• That you hold a Certificate of Competency as one of the below:
  -Certificate as Mate, 1st Class (STCW II/3 – II/2)
  -Certificate as Mate, 2nd Class (STCW II/2 – II/1)
  -Certificate as Master (Restricted) (STCW II/2 – II/1)
  -Certificate as Master (STCW II/2)
  -Including GMDSS (GOC)
• That you can complete a GWO Working at Height course, if you do not already hold this course.
• That you can pass a seafarers medical examination receiving a valid Health Certificate.
• That you can pass client inductions on your own, working on their IT-platforms.
• That you promote and work safely, always as a good role model.
• That you are service minded, always ready to assist our clients and have the right CAN DO. WILL DO attitude.
• That you are eager to learn, as ZITON is a company where we constantly want to improve your skills and performance.
• That you are a strong team player.

Your job will be:

• To maneuver and navigate the vessel when on duty.
• To ensure the stability, trim and seaworthiness of the vessel as prescribed in Company instructions and according to international rules and regulations.
• Loading and unloading operations.
• Voyage planning including keeping track of ECDIS software updates.
• Plan and delegate work for the deck-crew.
• Act/assist as Medical Care Officer.
• Act/assist with security related matters onboard as SSO.
• Act/assist as Health and Safety Officer onboard, and always be the good example onboard.
• Work with our Safety Management System, including Permit to Work System and Risk Assessment.
• Assisting our client and improve the service ZITON are providing.
• Work closely with the Technical Superintendent and Operations Manager on all matters required.
