Payroll Specialist to new crewing organisation in offshore wind 

Cadeler has recently announced the intention to expand our existing fleet with two new-build X-class vessels for installation services, operation and maintenance work on offshore wind farms. As a natural part of this growth trajectory, Cadeler has decided to establish our own crewing organisation and hire the vessel crew directly in Cadeler.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who is motivated by the challenge to develop payroll management in a newly established crewing organisation.

The main day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage the month-end to end payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries to seafarers
  • Generate payroll reports to management
  • Develop and implement payroll processes and systems to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Drive a strong internal control in payroll working closely with crewing coordinators and Finance department
  • Serve as an expert on issues related to seafarers payroll

Cadeler is currently undergoing a transition from its status as a marine service provider operating on time charters, emerging as a mature contractor capable of delivering more complex offshore wind construction projects. As the wind industry is rapidly growing and the complexity of projects increasing, Cadeler is facing an exciting phase of development with a strategy to take on more complex scopes within the development of offshore wind farms.

As part of the crewing organisation, you will report to the Head of Marine HR. The position is based in our office in Copenhagen, Denmark and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting growing company in the offshore wind industry.

Successful Candidate

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with practical experience with payroll administration in the maritime industry and preferably knowledge about the Danish DIS scheme. The successful candidate will be structured and disciplined, with excellent organisation and time management skills.

As the preferred candidate, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • At least 5-10 years of experience with payroll administration in the maritime industry
  • Knowledge about the Danish DIS scheme is preferred
  • Practical experience in payroll systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Accurate and solution-oriented team player with excellent organization and time management skills
