Svendborg's family shipping company boosts equity with new million profit

The Svendborg-based shipping company M.H. Simonsen's 14 tankers have earned 95 million DKK in a still strong freight market, which according to the director is on its way towards more normal conditions

The best accounts in the family-owned shipping company M.H. Simonsen's 93-year history have been hard to beat in the new accounts from the shipping company, which covers the period July 2023 to July this year.

However, shipowner and CEO Lars Hjorth Simonsen is still very satisfied with this year's performance, he tells Søfart.

The shipping company has specialized in the transport of vegetable edible oils in Northern Europe with a fleet of 14 chemical tankers of up to 7,000 dwt.
