New survey highlights issues with the use of fake CVs and ongoing problems among seafarers including crew relief, rest periods, wage payments, and shortages of food and drinking water
Seafarers' wage packets continue to grow globally as the shortage of well-qualified crew members increases.
This is shown in the 2024 edition of the survey, Danica Seafarers' Survey, by Danica Crewing Specialists, which has mapped wage development, recruitment, and working conditions among over 70,000 global seafarers across all shipping segments every year since 2019.
