Director after closed shipyard: It's melancholic, but a relief

The shipyard has 32 employees, of which 20 now need to find other employment

It is a relaxed director that Søfart meets up with on Thursday morning.

Previously, the message was that Hirtshals Yard would close in the New Year, and 20 employees are now without work.

- It's melancholic, but there is a relief in getting it announced. It's a decision that has been underway for quite some time, says Anders Hecht-Pedersen, the shipyard's director.
