The story of a legendary ferry route

The route has been in existence since 1831 and has been part of DFDS since the company's founding in 1866

It's 150 years of Danish maritime history that's changing into Swedish hands now that DFDS has chosen to sell its most famous ferry route.

The Oslo boat or 'Danish boat', as the route is called at its northern port of call, has been part of the shipping company since its founding in 1866, but the history goes back a further 30 years.
