In a press release from the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Minister Morten Bødskov asserts:

- There simply needs to be more done because it cannot be acceptable for seafarers to fear harassment and bullying – be it based on gender or ethnicity, the minister states. He continues, I have therefore requested the Danish Maritime Authority to engage in a dialogue with industry stakeholders to identify measures that can ensure a safe working environment both in the short and long term. After that, the government is also very open to considering these initiatives together.
