Danish heavyweights transform ammonia into powerful ship fuel
Methanol for internal combustion engines requires CO2, but in the future, there won't be enough of it. That's not a problem for ammonia. And the Technical Institute, Alfa Laval and DTU have a solution for ammonia's slow combustion
Today, we can relatively easily capture CO2 where coal and oil are burned but what do we do in the future when fossil fuels are no longer burned, asks Christoffer Mølleskov Pedersen.
Christoffer Mølleskov Pedersen is the section leader at the Technical Institute and he is leading a collaboration between DTU, Alfa Laval, and, of course, the Technical Institute. The ambition is to deliver a market-ready solution that makes the use of green ammonia as marine fuel possible.
