From Graduate to PhD Student: Embracing Responsibility & Driving Innovation at HJ Lubricators.
When Magnus Munk Jensen, a newly graduated engineer from Aalborg University, began his search for his first position, he chose HJ Lubricators – a decision that offered him immediate opportunities and significant responsibility from day one.
In 2021, now 27-year-old Magnus Munk Jensen joined HJ Lubricators’ technical department, becoming part of the company’s R&D team. True to HJ Lubricators’ tradition of empowering young talent, Magnus was entrusted with real responsibility from the outset. From his very first days, he was encouraged to share ideas and develop prototypes.
“I proposed a solution, and we built a prototype — it didn’t work, of course. But the problem still needed solving, so I was simply asked to try again. That was a huge moment for me,” says Magnus Munk Jensen.
Unlike many of his peers, Magnus was given substantial responsibility early in his career — a rare opportunity to work hands-on with development projects and see his ideas put into practice.
“It was a unique experience to be so actively involved in innovation and to witness my concepts tested in real-world applications,” he adds.
