What is a Head of Crewing?
Human Resources for sea-based DFDS employees used to be handled by different business areas. This is changed now, as it will be handled by one Global Crewing organisation including a team of local Heads of Crewing.
The new structure brings all the crewing functions together, as implementing and delivering the crewing strategy for the vessels and the crew, whilst ensuring high collaboration and synergies within the wider fleet alongside the Global Crewing Organisation.
A Head of Crewing is also responsible for designing and implementing the Priorities, Objectives and KPIs for the respective Crewing Team, ensuring and delivering the required crewing service levels to drive high operational performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, whilst keeping a high customer focused approach.
